Willett Lodge is dedicated to building a strong relationship with every resident, as it allows us to understand their preferences, hobbies and likes enabling our team to plan person-centred activities that will appeal to our residents.
Long Term Care
Exceptional care has unparalleled impacts on the health and the quality of your life. Our nurturing environment and tailored, individual care allows people to flourish and to live well. The home environment ensures privacy is respected and all residents benefit from the homely community spirit.
Day-To-Day Care
Round the clock, we are here for you. Our care team is here to assist with all daily needs and activities, including: bathing, using the bathroom, getting dressed and eating. Laundry services, housekeeping and maintenance go without saying and our catering team are here to provide made-to-order fresh and delicious food and beverages. A regular visiting Physiotherapist, Chiropodist and Hairdresser ensures our residents are well cared for according to their wishes.
Skilled Care
With a registered nurse on duty 24 hours a day we are fully equipped to deal with the needs of our residents. When more specialist treatment is required our staff are experts in identifying the need for referral to clinical speech and language therapists, dieticians, psychiatrists and other trusted specialist service providers.
End of Life Care
Willett Lodge offers end of life care to ensure our residents live and die well. We make advance care plans along with residents and families so that a good death is assured when the time comes to ensure our residents pass in their preferred setting.
Trips
Along with the opportunity to be taken out by loved ones or by a member of staff when arranged in advance, we organise group outings to places residents ask to visit. The team accompany our residents to parks, garden centres, shopping destinations, theatres and beaches.
Activities
We frequently offer a variety of activities for our residents which are inclusive for all abilities. Activity leaders visit the home most afternoons and our list of activities is ever expanding with new suggestions from residents all the time.
Emergency Admission
An Emergency Admission can be accepted providing the person or agency referring the resident is able to provide sufficient information for the Nurse in Charge to determine that the prospective resident has needs broadly within the services and facilities offered by us. The emergency agreement will state that the admission is short-term, and the placement could only become long term after a full assessment and review is carried out. The Nurse in Charge will discuss any concerns you may have and put your mind at ease. Your medicines will be collected at this time and safely stored and will be given to you by a Nurse when they are due. We take responsibility for all repeat prescriptions while you are with us. A member of staff will help you unpack and make you comfortable. The laundry personnel will document items of clothing brought into the care home.
