Willett Lodge Nursing Home prides itself on the high standard of care, which is given to its Residents, and provided by our friendly and caring team of staff.
With a registered nurse on duty 24 hours a day and accompanied by a team of dedicated Healthcare assistants (NVQ Level 2/3) ,we are fully equipped to deal with the needs of our residents. When more specialist treatment is required our staff are experts in identifying the need for referral to clinical speech and language therapists, dieticians, psychiatrists and other trusted specialist service providers.
My name is Felicia Burghelea and I am the Registered Manager at Willett Lodge Nursing Home. I joined Smart Care Homes because I passionately believe in their philosophy: Sincere care, meaningful activities built on relationships and trust, which should always be at the centre of the way we work.
I started at Willett Lodge Care Home in May 2023, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience working within the care sector, having managed Nursing/Dementia care homes and led management teams.
After a complete career change from the retail industry, I realised that I love working in the care industry because I have always wanted to help others to live their lives to the fullest and lead my team to make a difference in the work we do within the care sector.
I love being outdoors, hiking or sitting in the sunshine. Travelling is another hobby of mine as I am always keen in learning things about other cultures and traditions.
I look forward to meeting you personally, my door is always open, working with you to make sure that we always provide the best care we can for your loved one.
Our team of 8 Registered Nurses are highly experienced and attend regular training courses to ensure they maintain their NMC registration.
At Willett Lodge we offer many training courses, designed specially for our Nursing team. Nurses have a close working relationship with the Home Manager and are supervised carefully.
Our hardworking team of approximately 15 Health Care Assistants always keep individuals and their families at the heart of the care they provide at Willett Lodge. Most of our Healthcare Assistants have or are working towards either an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Care.
We have a dedicated training regime for all our Carers. There are normally at least one or two training courses available in house for our Carers to attend per month.
All our Healthcare Assistants have regular supervisions, carried out by the Home Manager. There are also weekly meetings carried out by the Home Manager with the Nurse and Healthcare Assistants on duty, where residents are discussed. This helps identify new needs and observations.

Enhanced Disclosures contain all convictions held in the Police National Computer, including “spent” convictions, together with cautions, reprimands or final warnings held on the computer. Enhanced Disclosures also include information held in local police records. Willett Lodge has a policy on the secure storage handling, use, retention and disposal of Disclosures and Disclosure information in order to give full consideration to the Data Protection and Human Rights Acts.
